Oasis Guitar Sold at Auction

A guitar used by Noel Gallagher was sold in London for US$386,000. Auction house Propstore said the cherry-red Gibson ES-355 guitar is famous for having been damaged during a backstage fight between Liam and Noel Gallagher that led to the band breaking up in August 2009.

Fleetwood Mac REUNION?

Multiple reports say the remaining members are kicking around the idea of a reunion centered around the 50th anniversary of the band’s classic 1977 album “Rumours”. Apparently, they are discussing new projects, including a special edition of the album, a documentary, and a concert. The group has not played together since 2019, and Christine McVie died in 2022.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Bryan Adams is the latest artist added to the Nov. 8 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. No word on who he’ll be honoring. On Saturday, he launched the US leg of his world tour with opening act Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.

Richard Marx – After Hours

 Jan. 16, he’ll release the new album “After Hours”, a mix of songs from the Great American Songbook and originals Marx wrote in the same style. It will include the single ‘Big Band Boogie’ ft. Kenny G. Rod Stewart guests on ‘Young at Heart’, and Marx’s wife Daisy Fuentes on the previously released ‘Magic Hour’.

Earth, Wind & Fire Documentary

Earth, Wind & Fire are heading to HBO. In 2024, Questlove announced he’s making a documentary about the group, and now we know the film will air on the network in 2026. It’ll will examine the band’s legacy, cultural impact, and body of work, and will use the band’s archives of visual and audio material.

Gene Simmons Car Accident

Gene Simmons updated fans about his condition after a Tuesday car wreck, writing on X: “Thanks, everybody, for the kind wishes. I’m completely fine.” He was reportedly hospitalized in Malibu after allegedly passing out behind the wheel of his car and hitting a parked car on the Pacific Coast Highway. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Presenters

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced an initial lineup of presenters and special guests for its 40th induction ceremony on Nov. 8. The list includes Doja Cat, Elton John, David Letterman and Olivia Rodrigo. It will also feature presenters and performers Beck, Brandi Carlile, Flea, Iggy Pop, Killer Mike, Maxwell, Missy Elliott, Questlove, Raye, Taylor Momsen, Teddy Swims and Twenty One Pilots.

The Beatles Anthology Reissue

The Beatles have shared another tune from their upcoming “Anthology” reissue, an alternate take of ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’. “While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Take 27),” opens with George Harrison giving someone his meal order, and ends with him trying to hit a high note, then joking “I…tried to do a Smokey (Robinson) and I just aren’t Smokey.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/5bjx9tre

 

The Who's Backyard Concert

The Who pulled out all the stops for their 10th annual “Backyard Concert” on Friday in support of Teen Cancer America and the UCLA Health Center. The rockers, who had just closed out their North American farewell tour 2 nights previous, briefly shared the stage in LA with Eddie Vedder, and performed alongside The Doobie Brothers, John Fogerty, Def Leppard, Peter Frampton and Cheap Trick.

Rush Reunion Tour!

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced a reunion tour. The “Fifty Something Tour” will celebrate Rush’s music and legacy as well as late drummer Neil Peart’s life. They’ve booked multiple shows in 7 cities across Canada, the US, and Mexico, beginning June 7 in Los Angeles. Lee said Peart’s place behind the kit will be filled by “incredible” German drummer Anika Nilles. They will be the band’s first shows since the “R40” tour in 2015. LINK: Fifty Something | Rush.com

Green Day's Upcoming 25th Anniversary Deluxe Album

Green Day has announced an expanded reissue of “Warning”. “Warning (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)” arrives Nov. 14 and will feature 49 songs across 5 LPs or 4 CDs. That includes a new remaster of the album, plus previously unreleased material, including demos, new mixes and a 2001 Tokyo concert.

Foo Fighters LIVE EP

Foo Fighters have dropped the new live EP “Foo Fighters – Are Playing Where ??? Vol. 1”, featuring songs recorded during their recent run of tiny club gigs. It’s exclusively available on the official Foo Fighters page on Bandcamp.

Mariah Carey & Michael Jackson's Unreleased Hit?

Mariah Carey is “upset” that her collab with Michael Jackson hasn’t been released. According to her, she recorded a song that could be “one of his classics”, and wanted it to appear on her recently-released album “Here For it All”, but his estate wouldn’t clear it. She’s asking fans to petition for the song to be released.
