The initiative to get a gaming casino built in our area. https://www.richmondisonaroll.com: "A casino in Richmond would support community-focused economic development in Wayne County by creating new jobs, increasing local revenue, and maximizing tourism revenue at nearby businesses. If approved, the project would also contribute new resources that may be directed toward local priorities such as public services, infrastructure, and long-term community investment. Any potential benefits, however, would depend on a structured approval process. The proposal would require state authorization, opportunity for residents to weigh in through a public vote, and regulatory review. These steps are designed to ensure the project is evaluated carefully and reflects the community’s priorities."

Richmond and Indiana State Football Legend: Vincent Allen!

Dave was joined in studio Tuesday morning by Vincent Allen, Richmond and Indiana State football legend.  Vince is already a member of the Indiana State University Hall of Fame, Indiana Football Hall of Fame and now on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame, and now, coming up  September 6th prior to the Eastern Illinois v Indiana State Sycamore game at Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, he'll have his #26 retired.  The first number in the Sycamore football history to be retired.  

Civic Bee Champions

Dave was joined Friday morning by Taytem Rivera from Hibberd Middle School and Hadley Nutty from Northeastern who placed 1st and 2nd in the area Civic Bee that was held back in April.  Taytem and Hadley, along with 3rd place winner Bella Mitchell from Hagerstown, will be competing at State Competition, Wednesday, July 30th in Indianapolis at the Indiana State Chamber.
