Jon Bon Jovi's Son Married Millie Bobby Brown

Jon Bon Jovi has finally spoken about his son Jake Bongiovi’s wedding to Millie Bobby Brown. He said to BBC: “It was a very small family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be…They’re great, they are absolutely fantastic.” Following an intimate ceremony earlier this month, the couple is planning a bigger wedding later this year.

The Police 'Synchronicity'

July 26, they’ll release a massive 6-CD box set celebrating their 1983 album “Synchronicity”. The limited-edition set will feature 55 previously unreleased tracks, including never-heard demos and live tracks, plus new interviews and liner notes, archive memorabilia and photographs. It will also be available on 4 and 2 LPs, 2 CDs, a picture disc and an e-album. 

Elton John's Pride Fundraiser

June is Pride Month, and he is offering fans the chance to meet him as a fundraiser for his AIDS foundation. Madonna's Biggest Fan... and their 18 Madonna Tattoos.

An extreme fan with 18 tattoos of the singer broke the Guinness World Record for the female with the most body art of the same musician. Tara Berry of Topeka KS beat the previous record holder, Nikki Patterson of Scotland, who has 15 tattoos of Eminem. Berry began her Madonna tattoo collection in 2016 when the pop star was looking for inked fans to star in a music video.

Jennifer Lopez Tour Flop

Talks for a $90 million Vegas residency are in jeopardy because her new album “This is Me … Now” and upcoming tour are flopping badly, it has been reported. She had been in talks with MGM Grand for a guaranteed $1 million a show for 90 dates starting next year, a source said. Poor ticket demand has forced the cancellation of 7 shows this summer.

Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger's Sandwich

Mick Jagger told the crowd at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Thursday that a local restaurant, The Tick Tock Diner, has introduced a new sandwich named after him, ‘The Mick Jagger’ Quote: “I’ve never had a sandwich named after me. I’m very, very proud.”

Bon Jovi Denies Reunion

 Jon Bon Jovi says that the group’s rumored reunion with classic-era guitarist Richie Sambora “isn’t in the cards”. Bon Jovi told Classic Rock magazine that he has spoken to his ex-bandmate just twice in the last 11 years, “and he hasn’t made any great overtures about coming back.”

Bruce Springsteen Schedules New Shows

Following the postponement his Saturday show in Marseilles, France, he and the E Street Band are rescheduling 3 more shows (one in Prague and 2 in Milan) under “doctor’s direction,” as he continues to deal with “vocal issues.” The band’s European tour is set to resume June 12 in Madrid.

Elton's Team Teases New Album

 At a London event on Monday, his songwriting partner Bernie Taupin told the crowd that a new Elton album is on the way “soon”. According to him, “it will surprise a lot of people and hopefully excite a lot of people.” The record will be John’s first since 2021’s “The Lockdown Sessions”.

 

Doobie Brothers Autobiography

Doobie Brothers Singer, Michael McDonald’s, autobiography was released this week. “What A Fool Believes: A Memoir” was co-written by McDonald and comedian/author Paul Reiser. The book’s blurb says it “finds McDonald reckoning with the unshakeable insecurities that drove him and the highs and lows of fame and popularity.”

Paul McCartney Makes Billions

Paul McCartney is now the first UK musician to become a billionaire. The Sunday Times Rich List pegs his net worth at 1 billion pounds (US$1.27 billion). He boosted his wealth by £50m in the past year with touring, the increased value of his back catalogue, and Beyoncé’s cover of 1968’s ‘Blackbird’.

Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat Cover

Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat got together to record a cover of the Muddy Waters classic ‘Long Distance Call’. It appears on Little Feat’s first album since 2012, “Sam’s Place”. The album, recorded at Sam Phillips’ legendary Nashville studio, includes covers of songs by Waters, Willie Dixon, Little Walter and Bobby Charles, plus one original.

Slash says the group is “trying” to make a new album. When asked why singer Axl Rose doesn’t guest on his new solo album, the guitarist said: “Guns N’ Roses are trying to make their own record and I’m working with them in that capacity but this didn’t involve anyone else (from the band)”.

Dave Grohl Pranks Audience

Dave Grohl played a hilarious prank on the audience during the band’s set at the Welcome to Rockville festival. At one point, he complained to the audience that he never gets a solo, then ripped into Van Halen’s ‘Eruption’, sending a buzz through the crowd. But it turned out that Grohl was miming to what Wolfgang Van Halen was playing backstage.

 

 

American Idol Season Finale

Hootie & the Blowfish, Jason Mraz and Seal are among the acts who will perform on Sunday’s “American Idol” season finale. In addition to previously announced guest mentor Jon Bon Jovi, New Kids on the Block, James Bay, Bishop Briggs, CeCe Winans, Wynonna Judd, Cody Johnson, and Season 14 winner Nick Fradiani will also perform.

Avril Lavigne Best Of Album

Avril Lavigne will release her first-ever best-of collection on June 21, a few days before her debut appearance at England’s Glastonbury Festival. The career-spanning “Greatest Hits” compilation will contain 20 songs.

Def Leppard is NOT Metal!

 Joe Elliott says that he hates his band being called ‘metal’. The singer said on a podcast: “I have an issue with the term heavy metal because everybody outside of rock always thinks if you’re in a heavy metal band, it’s like bad news…You get this impression that everybody’s a moron.” He went on to admit, however, that Def Leppard does have “a couple of heavy metal songs.”

Elvis Costello's Musical

A new musical with a score written by him will open in London this fall. “A Face in the Crowd” is based on the 1957 movie of the same name, which starred Andy Griffith, Walter Matthau and Patricia Neal. It will run at the Young Vic theater Sept. 17-Nov. 9.

Bruce Springsteen's Album Turns 40!

 June 17, Bruce Springsteen will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his “Born in the USA” album with a special vinyl release. Not only will it be on translucent red vinyl, it’ll also feature new liner notes and a booklet filled with goodies from the era, and a 4-color lithograph (…whatever that is).

Lollapalooza Documentary Coming to Paramount+

Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming 3-part docuseries “Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza”, which will premiere in the US and Canada on May 21 – and on May 22 elsewhere. It tells the story of how a 1991 Jane’s Addiction farewell tour launched a cultural movement that changed music forever. 

 

 

Queen Rock Montreal Release Coming to Disney+

After an acclaimed IMAX theatrical re-release earlier this year, the concert film “Queen Rock Montreal” will be reissued this Friday in a variety of formats. The vid, capturing the band’s 1981 performance at Forum de Montréal, which was recently named the most successful IMAX concert film ever — will also debut on Disney+ on May 15. 

 

David Bowie Song Release

 A second song from the upcoming box set “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”, out June 14, has been released. This one is an alternative version of ‘Lady Stardust’, recorded in 1971, during sessions for the classic album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/3usy6n2n

 

Pet Shop Boys Collab with Cardi B?

Pet Shop Boys want to record with Cardi B. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe were thrilled to learn that Cardi is a fan of their music, when she mentioned them during an appearance on “The Tonight Show”. But if a collab is going to happen, Tennant said she needs to get in touch: “The ball’s in her court.”

Madonna Finished Tour with a Free Show

Madonna capped her Celebration Tour with a free show at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, and set a record while doing it. Her team claims the show drew 1.6 million fans, the largest audience ever for a stand-alone concert by any artist in history. The previous record of 1.5 million was set by the Rolling Stones in 2006.

Lenny Kravitz after going viral with a post that showed him lifting weights in boots and leather pants, he has now explained his unusual choice of attire. Quote: “I’m coming from somewhere or I’m going somewhere…I’m gonna pop in, I’ve got 45 minutes, we’re gonna hit it and I’m gonna go run to where I’m going….I didn’t do that to be like…“let me be just different and wear leather pants and glasses.”

 

Maroon 5 Shares Mick Jagger's Dance Video

A few weeks ago, Maroon 5 reposted a video that Mick Jagger had shared, showing him dancing to the band’s hit ‘Moves Like Jagger’. Now, frontman Adam Levine has reposted video of the Toronto Raptors’ star Scottie Barnes singing the 2004 hit ‘This Love’ at karaoke in Cancun. He tagged Barnes, who reposted, adding the comment: “So Cool”.

Coldplay Concert Film Streaming Free

On May 11, the concert film “Music of the Spheres: Live at River Plate” will stream for free on Veeps.com. It was shot during the group’s 10 sold-out shows at Buenos Aires’ River Plate stadium last spring, and a resulting 2-night theatrical event was previously the only chance for fans to see it.

Deep Purple's Latest Music Video

Deep Purple has dropped a music video for ‘Portable Door’, the first single from the album “+1”, out July 19. It’s the group’s 23rd studio album, and first with new guitarist Simon McBride. 

 

 

The Beatles Film Preview Released

The first official preview for the new, restored version of the “Let It Be” film has been released. The 1970 film from Michael Lindsay-Hogg chronicled the era of tumult during creation of the group’s final album “Let it Be”. It drops May 8 on Disney+.

76-year-old Ron Wood battled drugs and booze for years, but with the group having kicked off its “Hackney Diamonds” tour over the weekend, what does his backstage preparation consist of these days?
