Rod Stewart Postpones Second Show

Days after postponing a Canadian concert due to travel issues, he was forced to postpone a show in Cincinnati due to “an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention.” Hours before Sunday’s showtime, a social media post from the venue said it had been postponed, but “Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.”

New Radicals Surprise Single

New Radicals have surprise-released their first new song since 1998. ‘One Night Only (Break Loose Break Free!)’ reunites songwriter Gregg Alexander and longtime collaborator Danielle Brisebois. Despite the enormous hit ‘You Get What You Give’, Alexander became disillusioned with life as a touring frontman and stepped away from the spotlight after the band’s 1999 tour. Backstreet Boys Millennium Residency

Backstreet Boys were scheduled to wrap up their Millennium residency at Sphere Las Vegas this month, but now have announced 3 New Year’s shows: Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and 2. Since the group launched the residency in July 2025, they’ve performed for more than 750,000 fans over 47 sold-out shows.

Heart World Tour

It’s been 10 years since they put out a new album, but Nancy Wilson reports that a new record is complete, and “It really feels like a Heart record.” She says the group will also embark on a world tour, and a Heart documentary and the long-in-the-works Heart biopic are also on their way.

 

Fleetwood Mac Reunion Teased?

Are reunion winds blowing again? Former guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said: “Next year should be a pretty interesting year, because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.” He recently mended fences with Stevie Nicks. We do know that the upcoming Apple Fleetwood Mac documentary is on its way. 2027 is the 50th anniversary of the iconic “Rumours” album.

Rush Has No Plans for New Music

When asked about the possibility of making new music with the recently reunited lineup featuring new drummer Anika Nilles, the 73-year-old responded: “No. We have enough to do. We’re still trying to remember the old songs and play them!”

Whitney Houston Barbie

On Aug. 9, which would have been her 63rd birthday, Mattel released the Barbie Signature Whitney Houston Doll, which celebrates her “record-breaking career, legacy and timeless music”, according to the company. Next month, centered around the band’s 2 scheduled performances in Cleveland, the Rock Hall of Fame will host “RUSH the Rock Hall Weekend”. Green Day TV Live Stream

Green Day has launched “Green Day TV”, a 24/7 live stream on YouTube featuring “music videos, live performances, and archival…unseen footage captured across recording studios, music video production, tours, backstage content, and beyond.” The immersive vault experience sprang to life ahead of this Friday’s theatrical premiere of the group’s new film project “Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy”.

Foo Fighters Are Playing Where???

Foo Fighters have released a new live EP “Foo Fighters Are Playing Where??? Vol. II.” It features 6 songs, recorded in the spring during last-minute club shows at Irving Plaza in New York City and the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ, which were arranged to celebrate the release of their album “Your Favorite Toy.” You can listen exclusively via the band’s Bandcamp. Proceeds go to charity.

Ozzy Osbourne Universal Haunted House Attraction

Ozzy Osbourne will be the subject of the new Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness haunted house at Universal Studios theme parks during this year’s annual Halloween Horror Nights. It will join the raft of other haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights, including ones dedicated to Evil Dead Burn, Hellraiser, Season 5 of Stranger Things, and Sinners

Black Sabbath Member's First Solo Album Since '05

Guitarist Tony Iommi will release “From the Dark”, his first solo album since 2005, on Oct. 23. It features Norwegian singer (and Dio soundalike) Jørn Lande. The Beatles New Box Set to Drop in October

A new box set focusing on their 1965 album “Rubber Soul” will be released Oct. 2. It’ll include new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes of the album, plus 20 previously unreleased takes and 3 previously unreleased home demos: ‘Day Tripper’, ‘We Can Work It Out’, and a John Lennon demo for a tune called ‘Little Girl’.

"Queen Budapest" Coming To Cinema

Their historic 1986 concert in Budapest, which made them the first Western rock artist to perform behind the Iron Curtain, is coming to the big screen. “Queen Budapest” will open in cinemas and IMAX worldwide on Oct. 7. Stage Adaptation "Purple Rain" Coming to Broadway

A stage adaptation of his 1984 cult classic film “Purple Rain” will debut on Broadway in 2027. The musical will run at the Majestic Theatre, with previews beginning March 12 ahead of opening night on April 12. Producers announced the news on Monday, the 42nd anniversary of the movie, and the mega-selling album of the same name.

Roxette's Good & Bad News Week!

Roxette got some good and bad news last week. The group’s 1990 smash ‘It Must Have Been Love’ officially joined YouTube’s Billion Views Club. The bad news? Roxette’s 40th anniversary tour had all of its US and Canada dates canceled. A statement on the group’s social media says the tour was “postponed” due to “logistics and hugely increased touring costs.”

Black Crowes Member Surprise Appearance

David Lee Roth Cancels Tour

Sammy Hagar didn’t wait to respond after David Lee Roth had canceled the remaining dates of his 2026 tour. In a social media video, Hagar thanked his fellow ex-Van Halen frontman for being “out there doing it, supporting the greatest band in the world that we were both part of.” He also invited Roth to come sing a song or 2, or even emcee, at his upcoming Las Vegas residency. Rush Las Vegas Sphere Residency

Rush are reportedly in talks to launch a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. According to RushIsABand.com, Satellite radio host and noted rock authority Eddie Trunk said on his show that it’s a “done deal” for 16-18 shows next year.

Pink Floyd Limited-edition Cassette Player

Pink Floyd is being celebrated with a new limited-edition cassette player (!) from the company “We Are Rewind”. It features artwork from the band’s album “The Dark Side of the Moon”, and the only cassette edition of 2023’s 50th anniversary remastered edition of the album. This being 2026 and all, it also features Bluetooth capability and a rechargeable battery. Just 3,000 are available.

Phil Collins Teases New Music

Phil Collins hasn’t put out a new album since 2010, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be new music in the future. On a podcast, he said he has “a couple of things that are finished” and “a lot of ideas…but I haven’t approached them since the health issues.” He has been dealing with neck problems and nerve issues since 2007 that left him unable to play the drums.
 

Billy Joel Reveals Why There's Been No New Music

Billy Joel recently revealed why he hasn’t released a new album of rock music since 1993. In an interview, he shared that it was because he didn’t want to “dilute” his legacy. After releasing “River of Dreams”, he “felt like I was done.” Joel said he was married to Christie Brinkley, he had a child, and “didn’t want to lock myself in a cave and devote myself like a monk to writing anymore.”

David Bowie Early Recordings To Be Released

Some of his early recordings will be released in September. “The Shel Talmy Recordings” is made up of 21 songs Bowie recorded with ‘60s producer Shel Talmy while he was still going by the name Davie Jones, 10 of them previously unreleased. Guests on the album include a pre-Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page and future Rock & Roll Hall of Fame pianist Nicky Hopkins.

Phil Collins To Release New Version of Debut Album

Sept. 18, he’ll release an expanded version of his 1981 debut solo album. “Face Value (Full Value” is a 4-LP set that features a remastered version of the original album, plus 3 LPs of rare and unreleased live recordings, demos and outtakes. It’ll also be available on Blu-ray.

The Kinks New London Exhibit

Ray and Dave Davies are the focus of a new London exhibition titled “The Kinks: Brothers”. Artist Christian Furr has reimagined their 1968 passport photo in a series of paintings and prints. The works, which are signed by the band and artist, will be displayed and sold at Gibson Garage London this summer.
