(Richmond, IN)--A proposed $14 rate increase for RP&L to be implemented over several years went in front of Richmond Common Council Monday night. RP&L General Manager Tony Foster again laid out the reasons for the proposed increase. No members of the public showed up to speak for or against the proposed rate increase. Council decided to hold the issue on second reading, which will again allow public comment. That will take place on council’s first meeting in September.
