(Wayne County, IN)--New food insecurity rates have been released by the organization Feeding America.  That study shows that Wayne and Fayette County have some of the highest rates in Indiana.  Food insecurity is defined as limited or uncertain access to safe, nutritionally adequate food.  In Wayne County, more than one of every five people – or 21.8% - are now described as food insecure.  The rate is even higher in Fayette County – 22.9%.
