Grateful Dead have broken the record for the most Top 40 albums to chart on the Billboard 200. The Dead, which broke up in 1995, is now ahead of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra with 59 Top 40 entries on the chart, following the #25 debut of their latest archival release “Dave’s Picks, Volume 49”. 41 of the band’s 59 entries have happened since 2012, thanks to the popularity of their series of archival albums.
