1:00PM 2:00PM Voices for Justice: A Poetry Reading at the Levi &

No site in Indiana makes a stronger statement for justice than the Levi and Catherine Coffin House. It represents the courage of those who welcomed the stranger and those who traveled the difficult road to freedom. It stands as a symbol for the importance of following one’s conscience despite the consequences. Indiana poet Shari Wagner will read persona poems in the voices of men and women from Indiana history who had a strong vision of social and/or environmental justice, such people as Levi and Catharine Coffin, Madame CJ Walker, Tecumseh and more.
