  9:00AM 11:00AM Ice Age and Fossil Casting Workshop  

Be a paleontologist for a day and explore the world of ice age megafauna! Join us for this exciting workshop Saturday, April 14th from 9 -11am to learn about the ice age and the field of paleontology. Work with paleontologist Ray Vodden to cast your own replica of a mastodon, sloth, giant beaver or other ice age animal tooth! 

$10 per participant, no registration required. 
This event is appropriate for ages 3 and up. We will have separate workshop groups for children from Pre-K to 2nd grade and from 3rd to 8th grade.

  12:30PM 2:00PM Fossil Fun   Fossil Talk & Imprint Activity & Hike: Join us as we discuss how fossils were created and identify some of the common fossils found in Indiana. After we will make our own fossil-like imprints on clay to take home, and finally we will go on a hike and discuss where fossils could be created. The program is split up into 3 different sections (talk, activity, and hike) each taking 30 minutes, you can join for all 3 or any combination of the 3 you would like!   1:30PM 3:00PM 150 Years of Quaker Freedom Fighters – Dr. David F  

Join former Freedom Rider Dr. David Fankhauser as he uses his reflections of the Civil Rights Movement to compare to the growth of demonstrations in the United States today. Join a public discussion that looks at how events of recent history compare to the work done by other social justice fighters of the past 200 years, including Quaker Levi Coffin. The program will take place at Earlham College's CoLab.
