Boys & Girls Club, Jennifer Feaster, Receives National Honor

Jennifer Feaster, a 15 year member of the management team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County (BGCWC), has been selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of America Professional Association as the national Professional of the Year

Feaster has developed significantly over the course of her time with the organization, creating impact along the way. Feaster began as the administrative assistant, taking over financial operations, and adding more responsibilities over time including supervising the marketing and technology departments.

Currently with these and additional responsibilities, she is the Director of Financial Administration. This is a crucial position that ensures fiscal responsibility to donors and grantors. Feaster also serves a direct liaison to the 40+ member board of directors and chairs or serves as the staff member for the organization's marketing, resource development, and special events committees. She is the “go-to” for most employees needing direction on fiscal, human resource, and marketing guidance.

Feaster's drive to get things done effectively at a high quality level permeates into the management team and among the Boys & Girls Club board of directors, driving others to maintain a standard of excellence. Her dynamic energy and strong community connections aid in acquiring new donors and resources to support the growing budget that once supported the two Clubs when she began her career in the Movement and now sustains five Clubs in the organization.
