Center City Development Corporation announced a partnership with Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce members to use The Innovation Center’s coworking facilities. Chamber members will have 27 hours a month they can schedule meetings, use Center conference rooms or other tech resources for business development. Benefits of Coworking facilities and membership details are the topic of the Thursday, July 27 Chamber’s Business Education Lunch at The Innovation Center.
“The Innovation Center provides an opportunity for businesses to network and collaborate,” said Scott Zimmerman, Executive Director of Center City Development Corporation which runs the Innovation Center as the City’s Certified Tech Park hub. “We recognize that the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce represents business in Wayne County and want to make our resources available to their members to help grow business.” The Innovation Center’s existing members and computer business tenants will receive Chamber memberships.
The Chamber in return will offer memberships to entrepreneurs with one or two employees utilizing the Innovation Center’s Co-Working program. “These memberships will provide additional educational opportunities as well as networking and business development support, which are vital to startup companies as they brand themselves in the community,” said Chamber President Phil D’Amico. “It is a natural partnership between the Chamber and Center City Development Corporation (CCDC). We both strive to help grow businesses. Our hope is that with the additional support, these small businesses will grow and thrive, ultimately making an economic impact to our community.”
Center meeting rooms include smart screens, whiteboards, secure internet connection through Parallax and accommodate one to fourteen people. Special studio space for recording podcasts or video production will also be available. Discounts are available for renting larger rooms for workshops.
The Center’s business incubation program through the Indiana Small Business Development Center, which has an office in the Center, provides services including social media management, strategic planning, growth management and accounting.
