Insect Expedition

Saturday September 29th, 2:00 - 3:30 PM

Did you know, an entire world of insects hides in the tall grasses of the Earlham prairie? Praying mantises wait in hiding to pounce on unsuspecting prey. Bees buzz past, carrying pollen in special baskets on their legs. Bright red and black milkweed bugs warn predators of their poisonous insides. On this EcoTour, you will get to meet these elusive creatures and hear their fascinating stories. Come dressed for the weather, but DON’T bring your bug spray! We will meet at the Randall R. Sadler Baseball Stadium parking lot, just past the intersection of Earlham Dr. and Gurney Dr. This event is FREE and open to the public.
