(Richmond, IN)--Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman is making a renewed call for the county to end its needle exchange program. Shipman wrote on his department’s social media page that county commissioners have not provided justification for the program to continue. He also wrote that needle exchange is causing numerous problems, including people dying after using the program’s needles, people selling the needles, and the difficulty it creates for prosecution. You can read Shipman’s statement in its entirety on the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Facebook page.
