(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Police were busy early Thursday morning searching for runaways from the Wernle Youth and Family Treatment Center. Both RPD and the Indiana State Police responded on the report of a large fight. Four juveniles fled the area and were being sought. It’s at least the second time in the last week that several residents have escaped at night. On Thursday morning, according to scanner traffic, one officer told Wernle staff to start securing residents better, because officers weren’t going to chase them every night. At 6 o'clock Thursday morning, three juveniles were reportedly still on the loose.
